At its business meeting in New Orleans, the Southeast Commandery of the Grand Priory of America decided to grant “special project status” for the creation of a clinic serving the desperately poor in Tanzania, near the shores of Lake Victoria.
When finished the clinic will provide access to healthcare to the 500 families that live in the community, and will have the Green Cross of St Lazarus over the door. The aim of the project is to support the building of the clinic and the furnishing of medical equipment and to serve there helping the needy.
